Ostrich Isle was one of the first maps that took actually effort to make. All my builds before this one were very simple, little models that I just made them for fun. If I remember correctly, this build took me 3 days to complete. Not that it was difficult, but because I would only build parts of it every day.
This build was almost completely inspired by one of the cut level of the game "Crash Twinsanity" (Which is one of my top favorite games of all times). I was looking through the concept art of it, thought it looked cool, and decided to build it in the workshop. The entire map was built on the OG workshop, at the finest 7FPS!
This build is very special to me. It's the first build that I was proud of, and it got some kind of recognition when I posted it on discord. Seeing the people giving it a good opinion made me very happy back in the day.
This is the other part of the map. This little island was actually a test with "Natural Terrain", and as you can see the sand is made with cylinders, which makes it looks more natural and not "bricky". Anyways, I actually made this all up so I could sound smarter than I am.
I originally planned to make a entire cave inside, but I just forgot about it and never did it.
